The Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts (ASPVA) admits students of any race,
color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally
accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of
race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions
policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

To launch ASPVA and its inspiring mission, we created a fundraiser called YOUTHCAST, a
showcase of young performing artists. In the spirit of "America's Got Talent", casting calls were
held, and top scorers were rewarded the YOUTHCAST Choice Award. Proceeds from this event
benefit ASPVA's outreach program and student scholarship fund. This exciting event took place
at the Art City Austin '08 festival in collaboration with the Austin Art Alliance on April 12-13 at
the Austin City Hall plaza stage. Our next presentation of YOUTHCAST will take place on
Saturday, July 26 as a featured event of the Hill Country Galleria.
With assistance from Famecast, performances were
professionally filmed. Born in Austin, TX – home of the
Live Music Capital of the World – FameCast (www.
famecast.com) is the first online competition designed to
find America's best new talent. FameCast provides
Artists a real opportunity to connect to a worldwide
audience and compete for real prizes: $10,000, national
exposure, industry opportunities and a chance to
perform live in front of industry experts.
