Casting Call For YouthCast
This season’s talent search is underway, and interested
students of all ages may submit their entry on-line or
attend a live casting call at ASPVA (1110 Guadalupe
Street, Austin, TX 78701) on Saturday, June 4 at 7:00pm.
Applicants need to check-in at 6:30pm. Contestants will
also be invited to compete by talent scouts who will visit
school performances, poetry slams, and other
performance events in the greater Austin community.
Requests for our talent scouts to attend additional
performance events will also be considered.

If selected, contestants will compete at The Long Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday,
June 12 and will meet personally with a panel of industry professionals who will provide
immediate feedback. ASPVA's YouthCast Choice Awards will be presented to winners in
each genre, and the overall winner with the highest score will be presented with the
Hudson Cup. The overall winner will also receive a special prize package to help celebrate
and promote their career. Historically, YouthCast winners have been invited to participate
in many exciting performance opportunities including Art City Austin, First Night Austin, a
benefit concert with Teens4Autism at the Austin Music Hall, and the Downtown Austin
Alliance and KUT Annual Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting Ceremony. Students have also
been invited to dance for NICKELODEON, to compete in FAME contest, and to be a part of
the feature film BANDSLAM. We expect similar opportunities for this season's winners.
