Scholarship Fund
This fund provides tuition for ASPVA students who qualify for financial aid. Gifts of any
amount can be designated for the Scholarship Fund, and your generosity will have an
enormous impact on the lives of artistically talented children.
Named Scholarships
With a gift of $1,000 or more, a current partial scholarship can be established in
the name of the donor, or in honor or memory of someone special, like a family
member, a beloved teacher or a favorite performing artist.
You can also establish a named current full-tuition scholarship, which will pay
one student’s complete tuition for one academic year.
These scholarships are awarded annually, for as long as the donor makes the
resources available. Named scholarships may be restricted to students within a
particular discipline: dance, drama or music. However, fewer restrictions on a
donation will allow ASPVA to respond to student needs as they arise each year.
Endowed Scholarships
You may also choose to create a permanent, endowed scholarship.
Donors of named current or endowed scholarship awards receive several
benefits, including a report about the scholarship recipient, invitations to
performances at ASPVA in which that student is featured, a listing of the
scholarship on ASPVA publications, as well as his/her own name listed in ASPVA
performance programs.
All scholarship recipients are chosen by an ASPVA committee of administrators
and faculty members on the basis of need, as evaluated by the School and
Student Service for Financial Aid program to determine financial needs of
student’s and their family, as well as the students’ artistic merit and academic
performance. Donors may not select recipients. Contributions to ASPVA for
scholarships are eligible for tax exemption to the extent allowed by law.
The Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts (ASPVA) admits students of any race,
color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally
accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of
race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions
policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
